Aluminium roller shutters have 3 types. Roller shutters with external shutter box, with plaster-base shutter box, and traditional roller shutter with internal shutter box. The components of all three types of aluminium roller shutters are made of aluminium, thus beyond the fact that they look pleasing and are durable, they also provide protection against break-in. Their heat-insulating effect (both in winter and in summer) and noise protection may also not be neglected as a result of the polyurethane foam filling in the double-wall shutter slat. The arresters mounted at the end of the slats provide for an operation without difficulty. Beyond the slats the aluminium roller shutter has 2 main parts: the guide rails, in which the roller shutter glides up and down, and the shutter box, in which the shutter winds up. This latter is fitted with a shaft with bearing in order to further easy sliding. The curtain joins the shaft of the roller shutter through a lift-preventer. The noise reducing brush placed in the guide rail and the gum strip integrated in the bottom slat ensure low-noise operation. The type of aluminium roller shutter with external shutter box has the advantage that it can be mounted also subsequently, and may also be supplied with insect screen for example. Also aluminium slats of another profile and of stronger made are available, these are specifically recommended for security purposes; it may be ordered with both external and internal shutter box, and one which can be plastered up. (Depending on the roller-shutter surface requested slats of different strength are needed. That is why a garage gate cannot be closed with the slats of a window shutter.) The traditional aluminium roller shutter does not differ from that in its material or profile, it will be mounted in the existing place, only with a new shaft and guide rails, respectively. (Up-to-date roller shutter, just as well in the old place.) The aluminium roller shutter with shutter box to be plastered up does not differ from the previous ones in its material or profile, only the mounting process differs. The advantage of the shutter box to be plastered up is that it looks better; it is namely built in in the proper phase of construction, so becoming quite undetectable.
